Church of the Presentation of the Lord

Before the revolution, on the site where the Sretensky Church now stands, there was a wooden chapel in memory of Emperor Alexander III. During the siege of Leningrad, the chapel was dismantled for firewood.
Address: St. Petersburg, Civil Avenue, 101
This church was built with the support of the parish, which occupies half of the second floor of the store on Ushinsky Street 5. That parish and the rector, along with the church property, moved to the new church.

During construction there was an action “Brick with your name in the wall of the temple” (which was announced in that parish and a banner hung on the fence of the construction site). It was proposed to name the bricks after the patrons of the arts in exchange for a donation for the construction.
