The children's cinema "Druzhba" was put into operation in 1956.
In December 2009, after a major renovation, the cinema was installed with modern film, video projection and lighting equipment at the level of world standards, as well as large screens 2 x 5 m.
The cinema has modern halls for you:
Red Hall - 93 seats
Blue Hall - 100 seats
the halls are equipped with comfortable chairs and Dolby Digital Surround sound;
modern cinema and video projection equipment: digital quality of film screenings in 2D and 3D format;
for viewing archival film copies, the halls are equipped with rare film equipment;
spacious hall with upholstered furniture and tables, vending machines with drinks and snacks.
The capabilities of the modernized cinema make it possible to hold a variety of private and corporate events: conferences, trainings, meetings, graduation parties, and celebrate birthdays.
There is a unique opportunity to demonstrate personally filmed video materials on the “big” screen and organize a “closed screening” for organizations and individuals. In St. Petersburg, only the Petersburg-Kino cinema chain has a unique cinematheque - Filmofond - one of the largest film repositories in Russia, which has more than 100,000 storage units.
Among them are feature films, documentaries, popular science, and animated films, including those in foreign languages, as well as with subtitles, collected over the past 90 years. Thanks to this resource, the Druzhba cinema shows viewers masterpieces of classical and modern domestic and world cinema, and holds retrospective and thematic screenings.
The cinema actively participates in the cultural life of the city, holding festivals of author, feature and documentary films. Socially oriented programs are regularly implemented to promote tolerance, aesthetic and patriotic education, and health care.
