Chef Juan Milton Iraola Chuquimia is responsible for the authenticity of the food. He is originally from Bolivia and has about twenty years of experience in the restaurant business. The Macarena menu includes a variety of dishes from Mexican, Portuguese, Latin American and Spanish cuisines. Some items, including delicious steaks, are cooked on a plancha - a Spanish invention, which is a hot steel surface on which meat and fish are cooked with a minimum amount of oil, retaining all the juices. Another highlight of the extensive menu is the dishes in the cataplana: this hermetically sealed copper saucepan makes the taste of the dishes very rich and preserves the aromas. Seafood dishes are available in abundance - for example, zarzuela in a cataplana, which you can “assemble” yourself, or order for two.
But that’s not all: Macarena serves meat dishes from different countries, paella and risotto, pasta and wok, there are special offers for duck, several types of pizza, vegetarian and raw food dishes and much, much more. Here they bake their own flatbreads and bread for toast, and prepare desserts - tiramisu, panna cotta, crema catalana, cannoli and Napoleon. Those with a sweet tooth will appreciate the “pashtejnata” dessert – a puff pastry basket with vanilla cream and lemon zest inside, laid out on a bed of ice cream and berry salsa. They plan to actively develop the confectionery component of the establishment. On weekdays there is a lunch menu: from 12 to 16, five types of business lunches are offered, costing from 290 to 480 rubles. – Italian, Spanish and three signature lunches.
