Monument "Prometheus"

The sculpture is mounted on a thin copper pin and, as a result of perfectly adjusted proportions, rests, unusually, on its own counterweight.



It is noteworthy that there are no such structures in St. Petersburg anymore.

This monument symbolizes enlightenment.

Popularly, the monument to Prometheus is simply called “Bird”; townspeople value the sculpture as a regional landmark.

The Prometheus cinema itself was demolished, but thanks to the efforts of local residents, the only sculptural monument on Grazhdansky Prospekt was still able to be defended.

Now the sculpture is located in the park on Olga Forsh.

The Prometheus Monument is a real work of art, and it brightens up the urban landscape.
