Dubki Park is located in the Kurortny district, in the city of Sestroretsk.
Address:
Sestroretsk, Dubkovskoe highway, no. 42
In 1714, by decree of the great emperor, Peter the Great, construction of the emperor’s summer residence began on the site of the modern park, and several thousand oak trees were planted, two hundred of which were planted by Peter himself.
The purpose of such extensive planting was to replenish the supply of wood needed for the construction of ships.
Unfortunately, the building of the emperor's palace has not survived to this day, but the park itself is now a generally recognized valuable historical and cultural site.
Dubki Park is a popular place for walking; it is often visited not only by local residents, but also by city guests. In the summer, the park offers attractions, you can go boating, there is an equestrian center, and in the winter there is a large outdoor ice skating rink.
