Dolgoye Lake is located in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg.
Located in the Dolgoye Lake park, at the intersection of Olkhovaya Street and Korolev Avenue.
The lake got its name due to its elongated shape. Until the 18th century, the lake was called Pitkäjärvi, which means “long lake” in Finnish. The Russian name began to be used from the beginning of the 18th century. In the 1980s, when a housing area was built, the area of the lake decreased and it became shallower. The surrounding area of the lake is a recreation area. The residential area Lake Dolgoe, Dolgoozernaya Street and the park Lake Dolgoe got their names from Lake Dolgoe.
