"Park of Fairy Tales" park named after. I.V. Babushkina was founded during the reign of Catherine II, when a hunting castle was built for the empress behind the Nevskaya Zastava of St. Petersburg and the nearby forest areas were landscaped; dachas of those close to the royal court Kurakin, Chernov, Apraksin and others began to appear.

Around 1925–1926, the park was named after the revolutionary Ivan Vasilyevich Babushkin, since he began his revolutionary activities behind the Nevskaya Zastava, working at the former Semyannikovsky plant.
Currently, “Park of Fairy Tales” is a park named after. I.V. Babushkina has been landscaped, after several years of neglect, attractions have been installed, an indoor ice skating rink, an indoor football field, and cozy cafes have been opened.
