St. Petersburg SKK is a commercial organization and is departmentally subordinate to the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
The complex actively participates in the implementation of federal target programs aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, mass and professional sports. The arena of the St. Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex hosted world and European championships, major international tournaments in various sports: football, tennis and table tennis, taekwondo, fencing, trampolining, hockey, figure skating, artistic gymnastics, judo, various types of wrestling, volleyball and basketball. The complex regularly hosts charitable, public and volunteer events, such as the music and sports festival for teenagers and youth “A World Without Drugs”, “Healthy Family – Healthy Russia”, the public event “I Choose Sports!”, the city festival “Freshman’s Day” , volunteer campaign “Healthy St. Petersburg - the choice of youth.”
