On Vernost Street, near the registry office building of the Kalininsky district, a Stele with Storks was installed.
The eight-meter sculpture was unveiled on July 5, 2008 on the eve of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, which is celebrated in Russia on July 8.
The sculptors took as a basis the most famous symbol of the family hearth - the nest of storks that care for their newborn chicks.
There is a belief:
If a stork has built a nest on the roof of a house or decided to take a break after a long flight, it means that soon the inhabitants of this house will have a new addition.
