The specific park is an object of landscape architecture, which is a monument of cultural heritage. It is located in the northern part of the city.
Address:St. Petersburg, Udelny Park
The history of the park begins during the reign of Peter the Great, when part of the park was allocated for the cultivation of ship pine. In 1832, the Udelninsky Forestry School was opened here, where serfs studied forestry. After the school closed, a park appeared.
The Great Patriotic War caused serious damage to the park - after all, at that time the rear line of defense passed through the park. After the war, the park was reconstructed - new trees and shrubs were planted, old and diseased trees were cut down, and various areas were equipped.
The park lies on two terraces separated by a high ledge. Birch, alder, aspen, rowan and bird cherry grow here. There is a pond on the upper terrace. Not far from the central alley of the park there is a fenced area of forest with many birds and squirrels.
