Address:
South Primorsky Park
South Primorsky Park received its name in 1991; before that time it was called the park named after.
V.I. Lenin. It is located in the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg. The total area of its territory is fifty-eight hectares. Creation of the park
The history of the park began in the last century; it was created during the 60-70s of the 20th century.
Its opening was timed to coincide with the centenary of the birth of V.I. Lenin. A whole team worked on creating the ecosystem; the process was led by architect A. G. Lelyakov. Around the South Primorsky Park are the Ivanovka River, the Gulf of Finland, Peterhof Highway and Valor Street. Initially, it was supposed to be divided into two parts by an alley, which, according to plans, faced the Gulf of Finland; however, this idea was never brought to life. Flora of the South Primorsky Park
The park is divided into two parts: regular (southern) and landscape (northern).
The alleys of the regular part of the South Primorsky Park are planted with spruce, fir, linden, oak, elm, horse chestnut, and weeping willow trees. And the landscape one looks more like a piece of forest. There are small islands on two artificial ponds connected together by a canal. Entertainment in Yuzhno-Primorsky Park
The park attracts a large number of St. Petersburg residents, city guests and residents of neighboring cities. Thanks to its beauty, pristine nature, many reservoirs, green spaces, as well as convenient access by vehicle, the number of visitors is increasing. In addition, Yuzhno-Primorsky Park also has recreation areas where adults and children can have a good rest. In the center of the park there is a pond, near which a boat station was built. Anyone can take a catamaran or boat and enjoy a boat trip. Next to the pond there is a cafe where you can spend time with your children. There is also entertainment for children.
